George Reinholt, one-half of one of the most popular supercouples in Another World history, passed away on November 11, 2013 from cancer. He was 73.
A native of Philadelphia, Reinholt began his acting career in his teens in suburban Philadelphia. He would later take to the Broadway stage as a member of the original cast of the musical Cabaret.
In 1968, Reinholt created the role of Steven Frame on Another World. He remained with the show through 1975. During his run on the NBC soap, Reinholt routinely ranked as the best-known and recognizable face in all of daytime television. He and his co-star, the late Jacqueline Courtney (ex-Alice Matthews), were so popular, that after Reinholt left Another World in 1975 over creative differences, ABC hired both actors to try to recreate that magic on One Life to Live.
Reinholt played OLTL's Tony Lord for two years. He also appeared on The Secret Storm for a year before becoming a household name as part of Another World.
In 1988, Reinholt began teaching acting at Interboro High School, the Barnstormers Theatre in Ridley Park, PA, and two other locations in Philadelphia.
Reinholt is survived by dear friend and caretaker, Ann Marie Lincoln, and longtime friends Ruth Campbell and John Magee.
