Lesley-Anne Down (
Jacqueline Payne) is not leaving The Bold and the Beautiful. Though talks did go down to the wire between the actress and network executives, a B&B spokesperson confirms that Down has inked a new contract with the show.

Actor Mario Lopez has found that, for him, success comes along with the word "bell." The former Saved by the Bell star will join the cast of the Bradley Bell-penned soap opera, The Bold and the Beautiful, next month.

The Bold and the Beautiful will once again be visiting Dallas. But don't expect to see prairies and cattle farms, because the CBS soap will not be doing an on-location shoot. Former primetime soap star Patrick Duffy (ex-Bobby Ewing) will be joining the cast next month. And no, this is not a dream.

Joseph Mascolo (ex-
Stefano DiMera) appears destined to return to Days of our Lives later this year. A long-time member of the Days of our Lives family, Mascolo made news in 2001 when, after departing DAYS amid a contract dispute, the actor joined the cast of rival CBS soap, The Bold and the Beautiful.

The Bold and the Beautiful will be getting a little more "golden" next month with the addition of two very well-known veteran actresses. Betty White and Alley Mills join the cast in short-term roles, but these roles will be very much central to the show's ongoing storylines.
