Viewers who tune in to The Bold and the Beautiful this week are in for a delight because Patrika Darbo is back as Sally Spectra's zany and wacky grandma, Shirley.
The character's return will no doubt be a godsend for Sally (Courtney Hope), who has been representing the family name on her own this year and will now have Shirley's support -- just in time for the debut of her fashion line.
As viewers may recall, Hope took on the role of Sally Spectra -- grandniece of the original Sally Spectra (Darlene Conley) -- back in January of 2017. As part of a fun Spectra family revival, the show also introduced Patrika Darbo as Shirley Spectra along with several other characters like Coco Spectra (Courtney Grosbeck) and Saul Feinberg (Alex Wyse).
Unfortunately, the Spectra revival didn't last long, with all of the family additions leaving the show within a year of their introduction. Everyone, that is, except Hope, who did exit the series in March of this year but was unexpectedly brought back to the CBS soap opera just one month later.
Could Darbo's return mean the Spectra family is poised for another big round in the spotlight, storyline-wise? Watch for the actress' return appearance on Thursday, November 8, to find out. In the meantime, we'd like to encourage you to get this little tune stuck in your head: they're creepy and they're kooky, mysterious and spooky, they're altogether ooky, the... Spectra family!
And just in case Darbo's return isn't exciting enough, fans will also see Anna Maria Horsford and Obba Babatundé return as Vivienne and Julius Avant.
