Popular actress Denise Richards made her debut on The Bold and the Beautiful this week in a scene that opens the door for all kinds of trouble: her alter ego, Shauna Fulton, was seen telling her daughter, Flo (Katrina Bowden), not to pursue her search for her real father. And that's just the tip of the iceberg of what's to come in the weeks ahead.
Richards spoke with Us Weekly to give a tease about her new B&B character, and while she wasn't able to spill too many details, she does reveal that Shauna "has a wild past, but a good heart. She was concerned about her daughter, so she's gone out to L.A. to check on her ... and some secrets are revealed."
As for what made the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star decide to sign on to a soap opera, she explains that, first and foremost, it was something new for her to try. And secondly, a close of friend of hers -- who just happens to be on B&B -- convinced her to explore the genre.

"I've never done a daytime soap before and I thought it would be a fun challenge," she shares, adding: "A friend of mine, Darin Brooks [Wyatt Spencer], who I had done Blue Mountain State with, is on it, and I was looking forward to working with him again."
So, what will happen when Richards' Shauna continues to make herself part of the B&B canvas in the weeks ahead? And what kind of skeletons does Flo's mom have hiding in her closet? Keep watching The Bold and the Beautiful to find out.
