Daytime audiences are eating up The Bold and the Beautiful's baby swap storyline that saw Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) unknowingly adopt the baby that Hope (Annika Noelle) believed she had lost during childbirth. Back in August, the CBS soap landed at number one in the key Women 25-54 demographic for the first time in its 32-year history. And now comes news that the soap is continuing to grow its audience.
According to newly released Nielsen Media Research data, B&B outpaced its year-ago performance in total viewers for the week of August 26-30, 2019, and the show also attracted its largest overall audience in five months.
The show's total viewership for the week was 3.39 million viewers, an increase of 54,000 viewers from last week and 130,000 from one year ago. The last time the show pulled in this many viewers was the week of April 15-19, 2019.
"Congratulations @BandB_CBS! The show hit its largest audience in almost five months reaching an audience of 3.39 million viewers," shared CBS Tweet, which was retweeted by CBS Daytime. "The daytime drama also bested its year-ago viewer number by +4%!"

As Soap Central noted when B&B reached number one in a key ratings demographic last month, the ratings figures do not include online viewing. As such, a complete total for the number of people watching B&B (or any daytime soap opera) is not known.
