Web soap Youthful Daze continues to gain new blood. The show, which revolves around students at the fictional Westfield Prep, a high school governed by money and power, has added three cast members: Jonathan Lipnicki, Jade Harlow, and James Preston.
Preston is already appearing in the show's currently airing second season. Lipnicki and Harlow will join in season three, which is now in production and is set to premier on August 31, 2014. These three additions to the cast join Jen Lilley (Theresa Donovan, DAYS; ex-Maxie Jones, General Hospital) and Brittany Underwood (ex-Langston Wilde, One Life to Live) who, as soapcentral.com reported in July, will also become regulars in season three.
Soap veteran Jade Harlow (ex-Sheryl Connors, DAYS; ex-Lianna Ramos, The Bay; ex-Jessica Bennett, Passions) will play Monica, a waitress who works with Jen Lilley's Natalie. Harlow, who exited DAYS in April 2014, talked to Dan J Kroll about her soap career from Passions to DAYS as well as the pros and cons of social media on the April 11, 2014, episode of Soap Central Live.
James Preston has already begun airing as Travis Montgomery, Becca's (played by Sarah Hester) ex-boyfriend, and will be a series regular in season three. Lipnicki is best known for his iconic childhood roles as Ray Boyd in Jerry Maguire and George Little in Stuart Little. He will play Tyler Dean, a mysterious drifter who takes a liking to Natalie. The actor is looking forward to working with on-screen love interest Lilley and the rest of the cast.
"I'm really excited to be working with such great people. I have never done a project like this before" Lipnicki says. "I love taking challenging roles that people wouldn't expect me to do." New episodes of season two of Youthful Daze are currently being released every Sunday night at 9PM EST/6PM PST on www.youthfuldaze.com.
