A nefarious new character named Vincent showed up on Days of our Lives during this week's July 29 episode, proclaiming himself to be the man who blew up Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara Brady's (Victoria Konefal) wedding. Just who is this mysterious newbie, and who plays the brand-new role? The actor's name is Michael Teh, and it looks like he'll be front and center as Ben's tormentor in the weeks ahead!
After a bomb went off at Ben and Ciara's wedding, Ben disappeared and, as fans saw this week, awoke tied to a chair in a dark room. A sinister man entered and introduced himself as Vincent, the man who blew up the wedding and kidnapped him. Ben demanded to know why Vincent had done such a horrible thing, and the mysterious newbie simply explained that he was paid to. Ben's first assumption was that his father, Clyde (James Read), had hired him, but Vincent laughed at the suggestion and began torturing Ben with a baton.
Fortunately, fan-favorite troublemaker Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) chose that moment to return to the canvas, interfering and stopping Vincent from continuing to beat on Ben. But will Eve's presence actually be worse for Ben than Vincent's? And how does Eve mix into the story from here?
Fans will have to keep tuning in to DAYS to find out more about Vincent and his connection to Eve, but there's plenty to learn right now about the character's portrayer, Michael Teh. The actor is an Australian native who decided to go into acting long after graduating with top MBA and law degrees and establishing a career in the intense corporate world on the East Coast, primarily in management consulting and as an Internet start-up executive. After a number of major life challenges and realizations, he quit corporate life and commenced full-time theater training in New York and later moved to Los Angeles to become a professional actor.
