Peacock's soapy new series Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem has dipped into the pool of non-Salem daytime talent to cast its latest character. The Young and the Restless alum Peter Porte (ex-Ricky Williams) has signed on to the five-episode drama that is set to debut on September 6.
According to Deadline, Porte will play an ISA agent named Kyle Graham in the series, which will follow several DAYS characters on adventures that take place outside of Salem over a long weekend.
As Soap Central previously reported, John (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena (Deidre Hall) travel to Zurich; Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara (Victoria Konefal) have a romantic getaway in New Orleans; Chad (Billy Flynn) visits some old friends in Phoenix; and Abe (James Reynolds), Paulina (Jackée Harry), Lani (Sal Stowers), and Eli (Lamon Archey) vacation in Miami. All find themselves embroiled in a mystery involving stolen jewels, which, in the wrong hands, could cause dire consequences for Salem. The result is "a race against time for ISA agent Billie Reed [Lisa Rinna] as she crosses the globe in search of this missing treasure."
Other stars who are set to appear in Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem include Eileen Davidson as a yet-unannounced character, Thaao Penghlis as André DiMera, Leann Hunley as Anna DiMera, Christie Clark as Carrie Brady, Austin Peck as Austin Reed, Greg Rikaart as Leo Stark, Chandler Massey as Will Horton, and Y&R alum Zachary Atticus Tinker (ex-Fenmore Baldwin) as a recast for the role of Sonny Kiriakis.
Peter Porte starred on Y&R from 2011 to 2012 as Paul Williams' (Doug Davidson) very troubled son, Ricky. His other credits include a slew of Hallmark and Lifetime films, as well as the series Baby Daddy, Living with Models, and Devious Maids.
