Super Bowl Sunday is known for three things: football, the half-time show, and attention-grabbing advertisements. This year won't be any different. DAYS viewers will get an extra special treat when the Pringles commercial airs because young actor Cary Christopher (Thomas DiMera) will appear alongside Chris Pratt.
Pratt has been tapped to be the new face of the popular snack brand. In the 30-second spot, Pratt goes to buy a can of Pringles at a convenience store, only for the clerk behind the counter to comment that he looks like the brand's mustachioed figure. Initially, Pratt -- who is sporting the iconic mustache worn by Mr. P -- denies it. However, upon closer inspection while sitting at home, he realizes that he does indeed look like Mr. P. Pratt soon finds himself talking to an agent and staring in a western movie alongside a young boy played by Christopher.
The commercial took its inspiration from real-life fan sightings of people who look like Mr. P. Now, Pringles has turned it into a contest and is encouraging those same fans to share their own sightings of Mr. P or their creations of the character on Instagram or TikTok, using the hashtags #ISeeMrP and #PringlesContest. Participants can win up to $15,000. The deadline for entries is 11:59 p.m. ET on Feb. 16.
Pringles also notes that the ad features a very good dog.
