The 51st Annual Daytime Emmy nominations are out, and your favorite soap stars can now prepare their formal finest for a star-studded night on the red carpet. As performers learned they got a nod, they took to social media to express their joy and gratitude at their nominations, as well as congratulate their co-stars for making the list, as well.
Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama series nominee Finola Hughes (Anna Devane, General Hospital) shared Soap Central's announcement when she reacted to such an honor saying, "I am so deeply honored and humbled to be part of this incredible group of talented women. I admire every single one of them, their work ethic and their passion for acting. Congrats to my fellow castmate @watros.watros
"Love you @therealstafford. Love my job."
Hughes's friend and former GH co-star Michelle Stafford (ex-Nina Reeves, GH; Phyllis Summers, The Young and the Restless) was also thrilled with her nomination and also shared Soap Central's announcement.
"This is such an honor," she wrote. "Really an HONOR. Thank you so very much! What a fun ride this will be. To be with my SUPER homie again @finolafilona...This is special."
Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan, The Bold and the Beautiful) also got a lead actress nod, along with her on-screen daughter, Annika Noelle (Hope Logan, B&B). Lang was excited for both of them.
"I'm so excited! Thrilled to be nominated for Lead Actress! And with my TV daughter @annikanoelle too! Yay!! So happy for you Annika."
Noelle echoed the sentiments in her Instagam stories, sharing Soap Central's announcement and writing, "What an honor to be alongside these ladies. Thank you so much, @daytimeemmys and @boldandbeautifulcbs."
Tamara Braun (Ava Vitali, Days of our Lives) got the news of her nomination on her birthday and couldn't be happier.
"Well, this is a beautiful birthday present," she said. "So honored to be in the company of these incredible women. Strong, fierce, vulnerable, hard working, bold,dedicated,beautiful actresses. Being a part of this group makes my heart sing. Thank you @emmysnatas @daytimeemmys for this nomination and to be sharing this moment with these incredible powerhouses."
Eric Martsolf (Brady Black, DAYS) was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series and had a simple message to share. "Today was a good day. Honored," was all he needed to write.
John McCook (Eric Forrester, B&B), who took home the award for Lead Actor in 2022, simply said, "So proud to be one of the @boldandbeautifulcbs nominees this year!"
Co-star Scott Clifton (Liam Spencer, B&B) also got a best actor nod and was so surprised he wrote, "HOLY S***!" in his Instagram stories, followed by, "Being nominated is wonderful -- but sharing that honor with some of my favorite humans is worth more than a thousand gold statuettes."
Outstanding Supporting Actress nominee Courtney Hope (Sally Spectra, Y&R) was also overjoyed, saying, "I'm so honored and excited to be standing next to these incredibly talented women! HUGE Congrats to my whole @youngandrestlesscbs cast and crew for ALL their nominations and constant dedication to telling these stories day after day! Thank you to everyone who has supported me and this heartbreaking and life altering story of child loss. I couldn't be more humbled to be the vessel through which this story was told."
B&B's Jennifer Gareis also got a supporting nod.
"I am so excited to be nominated for an Emmy for Best Supporting Actress!" she wrote. "A huge thank you to Brad Bell for putting your faith in me & giving me this incredible storyline! Thank you to the writers for producing so many scripts worthy of an Emmy! I am honored, humbled & blessed!"
Co-star Ashley Jones received a nomination in the Outstanding Guest Performer category after an emotional multi-episode appearance as Bridget helped save her father's life.
"I'm speechless!!!!" she exclaimed. "And out of my mind excited. Brad Bell -- I'm beyond grateful for everything. I LOVE being Bridget. And what a legendary group of people to be in!"
The Daytime Emmys will be presented June 7 at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles. It will air live on CBS starting at 8 PM ET.
