Britt has found ways around her questionable life decisions in the past -- but might she soon find herself in a fix that she can't get out of? Kelly Thiebaud (Britt Westbourne) has opted not to renew her contract with General Hospital.
"I wanted to wait till my last episode aired to say my goodbyes. And here we are," Thiebaud shared on Instagram. "What a fun and challenging adventure this has been! It went by too fast. I decided not to re-sign my contract because I would like to book other roles on primetime shows and film." In November, a show source told Soap Central that Thiebaud had made the decision not to renew her contract with GH. The show, however, would not offer comment. With Thiebaud's last episode now having aired, head writer Ron Carlivati shared his thoughts on Twitter.'
"We are going to miss the Britch but we are going to miss @kellythiebaud even more," Carlivati wrote. "Best of luck with your next chapter, K."
Jason Thompson (Patrick Drake) added, "Proud of @kellythiebaud and what she accomplished with her time on GH. You will be missed."
Kelly Thiebaud joined General Hospital on a recurring basis in September 2012. She was upped to contract status in January 2013 -- and that's when the blackmailing and embryo stealing began.
The door has been left open for the character, if not Thiebaud, to return. For now, though, Thiebaud's final airdate was December 8.
