General Hospital's Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones) has been temporarily MIA from the canvas, but the fan favorite actress will soon be returning.
Having temporarily departed the show due to skin issues earlier this spring, Storms was replaced on a short-term basis by Days of our Lives alum Molly Burnett, who began airing in the role of Maxie last week. Storms returned to the set in June, however, and ABC confirms that she'll be reprising the role she's played for the last eleven years, starting Wednesday, August 3.
Burnett, who has proven to be immensely popular with fans, thanked GH viewers for their support during the casting switcheroo. "Thank u Port Charles for letting me visit," she wrote on social media. "Kirsten is so talented, & created such a fun character, it was an honor to step in for a few."
