There are plenty of daytime fans who love to speculate on future soap casting, and it turns out some of the stars themselves also like to play around with dream casting scenarios. A few actors from General Hospital are suggesting that recent Days of our Lives alum Billy Flynn (ex-Chad DiMera) would be the perfect person to fill the shoes of Morgan Corinthos -- including the character's former portrayer Bryan Craig.
The fun casting speculation began when Flynn tweeted that he'd stand in line for the chance to see the stars attending an upcoming GH fan event. Upon seeing the comment, GH star William deVry (Julian Jerome) wrote: "Hey, Billy, you would make a good Morgan should he ever appear again. I hear Bryan Craig is otherwise booked. Ha!" To which Flynn replied: "I do believe I would give it my best shot. Ha ha! That escalated quickly from getting a few autographs. My buddy Ken worked with Bryan on his new show. He's great."
As General Hospital viewers recall, Craig left the role of Morgan in 2016 and found post-daytime success on shows like the CW military drama Valor and the upcoming series Grand Hotel. Given his newfound career trajectory, it's unlikely that he'll be returning as GH's Morgan anytime soon, meaning that if the ABC soap wanted to bring the character back, they'd have to recast the role. And apparently, Craig thinks Flynn would be the perfect fit.
Seeing the fun Twitter exchange about his former Port Charles alter ego, Craig got in on the action by saying to Flynn: "You'd be a great Morgan. Thanks for the kind words, brother."

Flynn, who was pre-nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award in the Outstanding Lead Actor category this year, was flattered but pointed out that the public exchange about a Morgan recast would no doubt stir the pot as far as fan interest is concerned.
"Thanks Bryan. Not sure how one could follow what you did, though," he wrote. "This, on the other hand, is gonna escalate quickly now. Ha ha ha! Congrats on everything, man."
This isn't the first time there has been speculation that Billy Flynn could be joining another soap opera. When he left DAYS last month, rumors spread that he would be heading to The Young and the Restless, perhaps as a recast for the role of Adam Newman. For more on that story, click here.
