David Tom was born in Chicago, and raised in Seattle and Los Angeles. He studied with renowned acting coach Diane Hardin.
The real-life brother of Heather Tom, David Tom made his daytime debut on The Young and the Restless in 1999. The following year, he earned a Daytime Emmy in the Outstanding Younger Actor category. David left Y&R in 2002, but returned to daytime as One Life to Live's Paul Cramer in 2005. During his OLTL run -- and a crossover to All My Children, the two Toms had a chance to play on-screen siblings.
David has starred in the feature films Pleasantville, Roommates, Walking Thunder, Swing Kids, Stay Tuned, Stepfather III, and Lessie's Rainbow. He also had a featured role in Plain Clothes. On television, he's appeared in the primetime series World's Apart, Buddies, Brand New Life, and Salute Your Shorts. He had recurring roles in the series Cousin Skeeter and Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman.
When David is not working he enjoys playing the drums, working out, and going to the movies.
David's birthday is March 23. He stands 5' 11" tall and has blonde hair and blue eyes.
