Former The Young and the Restless star Max Page (ex-Reed Hellstrom) is once again fighting for his life.
The young actor, who played J.T. and Victoria's son from 2009 to 2015, is currently in the hospital, fighting a heart infection called endocarditis. As fans of Y&R may already know, Page has congenital heart disease and has already undergone eleven heart surgeries in his short life, meaning his infection is quite critical. The 12-year-old has an inserted heart valve and a pacemaker.
"Please keep my Max in your thoughts and prayers as they work to fix his beautiful heart!" wrote his former on-screen mom, Amelia Heinle (Victoria Newman), on Twitter.

Page's former on-screen grandmother, Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki Newman), also took to Twitter with an outpouring of love for the young actor. "Everyone please pray for our precious Max," she wrote. "He is a one-of-a-kind hero."

Y&R recently made the decision to SORAS the character of Reed, who is now being played by Tristan Lake Leabu. Fans have speculated that Page's health issues unfortunately prompted the CBS soap to make the recasting decision.
Page's mom, Jennifer Page, took to Instagram to let fans know her son will be hospitalized for two weeks and would love to receive mail to read while he's recovering. Viewers can send their "get well" wishes to: Children's Hospital Los Angeles, 4650 Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90027, Max Page Room 2344.
