The Young and the Restless fans have been dying for Michael Muhney (ex-Adam Newman) to open up about his past on the CBS soap since he left back in 2014, and their wish has finally been granted.
The Illinois native dropped by cyclist Phil Gaimon's the Peloton Brief Podcast to dish on Genoa City, his self-proclaimed superiority complex, actor salaries, die-hard fans, childhood bullies, bicycling, and much more Gaimon says just could not wait to be shared.
"We sat down and talked, and I wanted to get into his history, but he sort of got into some breaking Hollywood, TMZ style news and some good soap opera drama," the cyclist teases.
During the revealing chat, Muhney opens up about why he battled with Y&R's leading man, Eric Braeden (Victor Newman), and his controversial exit from the soap that he says had him basically wishing he'd get fired.
"I can look back and realize that I made mistakes... I grew bitter," he admits. "I was this guy that should have just known better."
Shortly after posting about his podcast appearance, Muhney responded to a fan who tweeted he'd like to see the actor and Braeden work together again. "Me too!" he wrote. "Best scenes I had were often with him."
