The soap opera community is sending well wishes to The Young and the Restless' Kate Linder (Esther Valentine), who sustained minor injuries while caring for her mother's physical needs.
According to a statement from the actress' publicist, Linder is currently staying in a hospital while she undergoes physical therapy. She is expected to return to work in the near future.
"I am so grateful to my incredible doctors, nurses, and physical therapists for taking such good care of me," Linder shares in a statement. "I want to thank my mom, my friends, and my Y&R family for their outpouring of good wishes and support."
Kate Linder took on the role of Y&R's Esther in 1982 and quickly became a fan favorite. Some of her other credits include Lights Out, Hysteria, Erased, Mother's Day, and Echo Boomers.
Linder's mother, Molly Wolbeck, appeared on Y&R back in 2017 as a swanky patron at a restaurant outside of Genoa City. She shared her scenes with Tracey Bregman's (Lauren Fenmore) real-life mother, Suzanne Lloyd.
