Jordi Vilasuso and his wife Kaitlin have a lot to look forward to in 2024. The actor took to Instagram to share the happy news that he and his wife are expecting a baby girl in January. "Grateful for your prayers for our growing family, my friends! Also, I know this was not easy to put out there my love, but your openness and call for prayer inspire me and I know will do the same for others! With faith and love!" Vilasuso shared.
Kaitlin opened up about the difficulties that she and her husband faced in their journey to expand their family. She had two previous miscarriages, and she revealed that she would need to have a procedure to keep their baby in utero. "Sweet friends! We come to you with big, exciting news and perhaps an even bigger prayer request. We are beyond excited to share that we are expecting a precious addition to our family in January! After two losses, this precious girl is an answer to our prayers and has already filled our hearts with so much hope and joy. But while she is growing perfectly, we learned last week that my body is struggling to hold her and she's at risk of coming far too early," Kaitlin posted.
This will be the third child -- and third daughter -- for the Vilasusos. She'll join sisters Riley Grace, 10, and Everly Maeve, 7.
Vilasuso began his career in daytime in 2000 on Guiding Light, playing Tony Santos. The actor left the show in 2003, shortly after earning the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Younger Actor. Vilasuso has also appeared as Griffin Castillo on All My Children, Dario Hernandez on Days of our Lives, and, most recently, Rey Rosales on The Young and the Restless.
