Former All My Children star Larry Keith (ex-Nick Davis) has died. The actor passed away the morning of July 17 from cancer. He was 79.
Soap Opera Digest contributor Carolyn Hinsey reported the news on her Facebook page.
"I am very sorry to report that Larry Keith, who played AMC's Nick Davis, died this morning of cancer," Hinsey wrote. "I saw him in Titanic on Broadway, another arena of great success for him. RIP."
Keith was an original cast member of All My Children, and was with the show when it debuted in January 1970. He remained on as a contract player through 1978, though the actor made numerous guest appearances over the next three decades. His final AMC appearance came in 2005. During his run with the ABC soap, Keith earned two consecutive Daytime Emmy nominations - 1977 and 1978's Outstanding Actor in a Daytime Drama Series nods.
Though perhaps most often associated with his work on All My Children, Keith also appeared for a short time on Another World, where he played the role of Lefty Burns.
Earlier this year, Keith appeared in an episode of the hit cable series, Damages.
Keith's talent did not confine him to television. The actor also appeared on-stage in My Fair Lady; Titanic; and Caroline, or Change.
