As the World Turns star Maura West is expecting, but fans shouldn't expect to see Carly get pregnant. A show source says that West's pregnancy will not be written in. West debuted as Carly in April 1995.

Cady McClain is again returning to daytime television. She will not, as many viewers had speculated, be returning to All My Children. Instead, McClain will reprise another of her Emmy-winning roles: Rosanna Cabot on CBS's As the World Turns. The actress' most recent stint in Oakdale ended in January 2008.

Robert Allen Willey, husband of As the World Turns star Helen Wagner, has passed away. Willey guest-starred in an episode of ATWT several years back. The pair had been married since 1954.

It may be one the biggest casting coups of the year. Former General Hospital and Port Charles star, Lynn Herring, will join the As the World Turns cast in July. Long-time soap opera vet Judi Evans will join the cast of As the World Turns later this summer in a newly created role. Evans' appearance in Oakdale may disappoint Days of our Lives fans, who were hoping she'd be returning to Salem. Evans has also appeared on Another World and Guiding Light.

As the World Turns has signed its second former General Hospital in the past month. Emmy winner Stuart Damon will join the CBS soap later this summer in a still-to-be-announced role. Damon portrayed Alan Quartermaine on GH for more than 30 years.
