Brace yourselves, General Hospital fans: not only has it been revealed that both Lexi Ainsworth (Kristina Davis) and Ashley Jones (Parker Forsyth) have exited the ABC soap opera, it's also rumored that viewers have already seen the pair's final scenes, unaware that a true goodbye was happening.
Earlier this week, Kristina declared that she was moving to Oregon to join Parker, who'd been fired from her job as a professor at the university due to her relationship with Kristina (who was a student at the time). A rep for the show has yet to comment on the status of the on-screen couple, but behind-the-scenes sources confirm that both actresses have indeed left Port Charles for the foreseeable future.
As viewers recall, Jones -- known also for her role as The Bold and the Beautiful's Bridget Forrester -- joined GH in January of 2016 as Kristina's former college professor. After a short (yet emotional) run, she disappeared from the canvas and returned again for a handful of appearances later that summer. She most recently returned in August of 2017 in what seems to be a storyline to help usher Ainsworth off the canvas.
As for Ainsworth, the Oklahoma native joined GH as a SORAS'd Kristina in 2009 but was let go in 2011. She was brought back to the canvas in 2015 (after actress Lindsey Morgan briefly took over the role) and won a Daytime Emmy Award in the Outstanding Younger Actress category for her work in 2016. She most recently landed a role on Major Crimes, which is said to be the reason for her GH exit.
Neither actress has revealed anything definitive about their statuses with GH on social media, so fans may have to wait a bit to find out exactly what's going on.
