Jessica Leccia, who became one of daytime's most-talked-about performers during her two-year run on Guiding Light, has landed a recurring role on One Life to Live. She'll play the newly created role of Inez, Nate Salinger's mom.
Leccia made her daytime debut on the long-running CBS soap, Guiding Light, in 2007. In the show's latter years, she found herself - alongside Emmy winner
Crystal Chappell -- as one of daytime's most popular couples. Natalia Rivera and Olivia Spencer -- or "Otalia" as the couple was affectionately dubbed by fans -- were Guiding Light's first prominent same-sex pairing. Their love story helped lure non-soap viewers to the show and the couple has been credited by some critics as having helped Guiding Light stay on the air for an additional year.
Since Guiding Light's end, Leccia has appeared on an episode of the primetime drama series, Mercy. She has also reunited with Chappell in the web series, Venice.
For now, Leccia's role on One Life to Live is slated as a short-term, recurring stint. She will first air on June 18.
