This has been one heck of an amazing week for fans of One Life to Live's Trevor St. John (ex-Todd Manning/Victor Lord). First came heartwarming photos of the actor taking part in a Llanview reunion with former costars like Kristen Alderson (ex-Starr Manning) and Kassie DePaiva (Eve Donovan, Days of our Lives; ex-Blair Cramer). Now comes news that the actor has been cast in The CW's reboot of the show Roswell.
As Soap Central previously reported, the new version of the sci-fi series stars General Hospital alum Nathan Parsons (ex-Ethan Lovett) and follows a character named Liz Ortecho (Jeanine Mason), a jaded biomedical researcher and the daughter of undocumented immigrants who reluctantly returns to her tourist-trap hometown of Roswell, NM. Liz, who's haunted by a tragic incident, discovers a shocking truth about her teenage crush Max (Parsons) who is now a police officer: He's an alien who has kept his unearthly abilities hidden his entire life. She protects his secret as the two reconnect and begin to investigate his origins, but when a violent attack and long-standing government cover-up point to a greater alien presence on Earth, the politics of fear and hatred threaten to expose him and destroy their deepening romance.
According to Deadline, St. John will play the series regular role of Master Sergeant Jesse Manes. Stubborn and set in his ways, Sgt. Manes inherited a military legacy of the alien cover-up but now plans to eliminate them entirely.
The original version of Roswell aired on UPN from 1999 to 2002 and starred notable names like Katherine Heigl, Shiri Appleby, Jason Behr, Adam Rodriguez, and Colin Hanks.
St. John joined OLTL in the role of Todd Manning in 2003, but in the final years the ABC soap opera was on the air, he was revealed to be Victor Lord Jr.. After OLTL was canceled in 2013, the Washington state native went on to star in series like Containment, The Vampire Diaries, and The Fosters.
