The spell Kay cast to save Miguel in Mexico returned the demon elf without her knowledge. The elf decided to stir up trouble because he thought Kay was a stupid witch. After Kay turned on the stove, he turned up the flames and caused the kettle to explode, which scared Kay. Tabitha went downstairs to investigate, and Kay filled her in on the details. Tabitha noticed fingerprints on the stove knobs and concluded that the demon elf had made an appearance.

The demon elf emerged from hiding and told Tabitha that Kay had gotten him back. Tabitha refused to believe the demon elf, since she was sure that Kay was not using magic. The elf told her otherwise, and Tabitha was livid that Kay had used magic behind her back. Tabitha told Kay that they had to get rid of the demon elf because they wouldn't have a moment's peace, but Kay didn't want to use magic. Tabitha stated that they could use incense and herbs, but it would take much longer to be rid of him.

Tabitha and Kay prepared a concoction, and Kay poured it on the elf's head. He choked and pretended the potion was working, and then he told Tabitha and Kay that it would take a lot more than herbs to be rid of him. He choked again, and the house shook. The elf disappeared. Kay was thrilled that their little mixture had worked, so she gave Tabitha a hug. As soon as Tabitha and Kay left the kitchen, the demon elf returned.

Sam set a trap for the serial killer. He thought the killer was after Esme and not her men. Sam gave Julian and Esme some alone time. Julian and Esme pondered the best way to trap the serial killer. While Julian thought of a way to trap the killer, Esme was focused on getting Julian into bed.

On his way out the door, Sam spotted someone. He assumed it was the serial killer and gave chase. It turned out to be Ivy. She just wanted to spend some quality time with him. After having a romantic interlude with Ivy, Sam remembered that he was on duty and ran off to catch the serial killer. After Sam left, the serial killer kept a watchful eye on Ivy then on Rebecca. Sam heard a scream while in Julian's room and went off to help.

Gwen worried about Ethan in the shark-infested water, so she looked around for some help and ran into Luis and Miguel. She begged them to go save Ethan because she didn't want her son, Jonathan, growing up without a father. Luis and Miguel left and told Gwen to keep Juanita from Pilar. Gwen received a call from Rebecca, and Gwen filled her in on the details.

Rebecca was excited that Theresa could be dead and told Gwen to kill Pilar right away because she could tell Ethan the truth about them blackmailing her. Gwen told Rebecca that she would do no such thing. Juanita pulled closer in order to eavesdrop on Gwen's conversation. Gwen accidentally put Rebecca on speakerphone, and Juanita was able to pick up Rebecca's voice. She put two and two together and realized that Gwen and Rebecca were blackmailing Pilar in order to get Theresa out of the way.

Juanita threatened Gwen and said that if she did not free her, Juanita would tell everyone Gwen's dirty little secret. Gwen said that she had the option of killing both Juanita and Pilar in order to keep her secret, but Juanita said that Gwen was bluffing. Gwen dared Juanita to tell her secret, since no one would believe a mobster. Juanita said that Gwen should have killed her and Pilar while she'd had the chance because Juanita was going to make sure everyone knew Gwen's secret.

In the ocean, Ethan called out to Theresa, and she responded and swam toward him. She expressed how happy she was to see him and began to kiss him. Meanwhile, there were sharks circling them. Theresa realized that they were surrounded by sharks and started to scream.

Ethan tried to fight off the sharks while Theresa screamed his name. Ethan continued to fight off the sharks. Theresa could not hold up any longer, so she told Ethan that she loved him then disappeared under water. Ethan screamed for Theresa, but she was not in sight.

Luis and Miguel took a boat to save Ethan and Theresa, but the boat was caught in a fishing net. Luis went into the sea to untangle the boat, and Miguel spotted a shark circling the area. He screamed for Luis to get back on the boat, but it was too late. The shark pulled Luis back into the water.

Miguel jumped in with a gun to save Luis. He rescued Luis, and they got back on the boat. They picked up an unknown body and placed it on the boat to return to shore. When Gwen saw the body, she wondered if it was Ethan's or Theresa's.

The body Luis and Miguel returned to shore was Ethan's, and he seemed lifeless. Gwen rushed to his side and performed CPR. Juanita whispered to Gwen that even if she saved Ethan, Juanita would make sure that Gwen never had him. Gwen continued to perform CPR. Ethan regained consciousness, and the first thing he asked Gwen was Theresa's whereabouts and if she was okay.

Juanita smirked while Gwen looked on. Ethan told Luis and Miguel that he had been fighting off the sharks, and he'd ended up losing sight of Theresa. Miguel and Luis decided to go search for Theresa, and they told Ethan to stay with Pilar and to keep an eye on Juanita. Ethan wanted to join the search for Theresa, and Gwen hoped that she washed up on shore like a dead squid.

Ethan asked Gwen what she was doing in Mexico, and he wondered who was taking care of Jonathan. Gwen told him that Jonathan was with the nannies at the mansion. In addition, Gwen told him that she had to be there to make sure that he was okay because she and Jonathan loved him and needed him, and all Ethan cared about was saving Theresa.

Gwen left to get some water for Ethan, and Pilar caught her off guard and slapped her on the face. She asked why Gwen was in Mexico. In addition, she told Gwen that she'd almost died because of her and Rebecca. Pilar threatened Gwen and said that she would pay for what she had done. Gwen told Pilar that each time Theresa got involved with Ethan, tragedy followed.

Juanita overheard Gwen and Pilar's conversation, and she planned to use it to her advantage. She told Gwen that she would make sure that tragedy befell both her and Ethan's lives. Juanita told Gwen that she would never have Ethan, even if Theresa died, because Juanita would make sure that Ethan knew what Theresa had done. Pilar told her to hush up, and Gwen told Juanita that maybe she and Pilar should kill her.

Meanwhile, Theresa was floating in the ocean. She returned to her senses and realized that Ethan was not in sight. She called out for him then started to swim in search of him. She saw another shark and reacted by screaming out for Ethan. She managed to swim away.

In the meantime, Luis and Miguel were looking for Theresa. Luis called off the search and headed back to shore. Theresa managed to swim back to shore in one piece. Ethan called out for Theresa. She heard him and began to walk toward him.

The demon elf was making Tabitha's life a living hell, and she threatened to use magic, but Kay did not want her to use magic. Tabitha managed to convince the demon elf to stop his mayhem because Noah and Paloma were on their way to the house. Noah and Paloma started to bicker as they walked into Tabitha's house. Kay managed to convince Paloma that things weren't all what they seemed to be, so Paloma decided to hear Noah out. Their conversation was short-lived when Kay accidentally gave the demon elf ideas.

Paloma asked Noah to swear to her that kissing Fancy had meant nothing to him. Noah told Paloma that she loved him and also said that he didn't care that Fancy was the better kisser. Moreover, Noah told Paloma that Fancy was a better lover, and with practice, she could be just as good as Fancy. Paloma was unaware that Noah was under the spell of the demon elf.

Kay went over and told Paloma that weird things were happening, and it had taken over Noah. Paloma wondered why, when weird things happened at Tabitha's house, it broke her heart. She told Noah to stay away from her then left the house. Tabitha blamed Kay because if she had used magic to get rid of the demon elf, Noah and Paloma would have made peace.

Sam ran toward the scream and discovered Ivy lying on the ground. Viki stabbed her in order to distract Sam. Sam heard something in the hall and decided to check it out. It turned out to be Rebecca trying to hightail it out of town. Viki, who was hiding in the corner, decided to step out, and Esme thought all the commotion had scared Viki.

Sam asked Rebecca why she was in such a rush to get out of town, and Rebecca had a flashback of Gwen telling her that she was with Juanita Vasquez in Mexico. Sam told Rebecca that she could not leave town. Rebecca briefly had a conversation with Viki and implied that Viki needed therapy. She left for a drink and returned. She heard Viki talking to herself and asked her about it, and surprisingly, Viki admitted to talking to herself while holding the knife behind her back.

Rebecca told herself that Viki was a freak and stated that Viki gave her the creeps. After Rebecca left, Viki kept an eye on Esme and Julian. Julian told Esme that he wanted the attacker found, and Viki told herself that no one could catch her because she was too smart to be caught.

A weak and injured Theresa made her way toward her loved ones as they fear feared the worst for her, thinking she had drowned. Juanita tormented Gwen with the fact that she would lose Ethan -- unless Gwen let Juanita escape. A distraught Luis and Miguel questioned Pilar about why she and Theresa were in Mexico in the first place as a shocked Ethan thought he saw someone familiar in the distance.

While Paloma researched Juanita, Noah tried everything he could think of to get Paloma to talk to him and work things out. Paloma continued to put him off, but it was clearly very difficult for her.

Kay caught Tabitha using the magic bowl of water and berated her for breaking her promise not to use magic. Tabitha had had it with people telling her what to do, and even Kay relented when her curiosity over Miguel's safety got the best of her.
