THE SHOCKWAVE
The Cummings admit that they don 't have a band for the opening. They
are worried about keeping the crowd happy. Emily slaps Amy after she
insults Bette. Later Amy cries and says that her problem is more to do
with her dad then Emily; she says that everything seems to be falling
apart. Bette told the Cummings she has a plan for music. Bette goes
to Emily, Sean, and Leo and says she is going to sing. Emily begs Sean
to save her from the humiliation. Amy gets a call from her father who
is really upset and talking strangely. He keeps telling Amy that they
don't understand the power and that he needs them back. Amy is confused
about his call but agrees to go home. Emily begs Sean to sing. Sean
and Universal Citizens rap at the Shockwave.
THE TORRES
Maria says she can't connect with them as her brothers. Antonio
suggests that they start new and hopefully grow close now. Antonio
shows Maria the watch and told her the meaning behind the gift. Maria
thanks Antonio for sharing the watch with her. He says that she was a
wonderful sister. He says they were devastated when she died.
Maria says she thinks everything will be spoiled with Meg if she remembers her past. She admits that Meg is like a sister to her. Antonio told her not to apologize for the way she feels. She knows she has upset Ricardo. Antonio told her that he is very passionate about things he cares about. Antonio told Maria that he has to be very careful about things he feels passionate about. Maria asks Antonio if he has ever had his heart broken. He says everyone has that happen to them and he thinks of Gabi. Maria says sometimes she thinks it will better never to memory at all. When Dr. Estrada arrives she says she feels like she is going out of her mind. When Antonio says they have gone to far Maria says no she hasn't gone far enough. Dr. Estrada tells Ricardo and Antonio that she thinks she has a solution.
GRENADINE'S
Gregory and Annie arrive, showing off her necklace. Annie makes sure
that Cole gets a good look at the necklace. She wants to make sure
Caitlin can see Cole admiring it. Gregory told Annie she can mess with
Olivia all she wants but Caitlin is off limits. Olivia told Annie to
meet her at the power plant in 30 minutes. Annie has to figure out how
to get away from Gregory. Caitlin told Annie to back off. Caitlin
begs Cole not to go to work. Annie told Greg that he needs to talk to
Caitlin and that she plans to take a walk. He agrees and takes Annie's
necklace to lock in the hotel safe.
BEN'S HOUSE
Sara and Casey arrive to pick up Ben and Meg. While waiting they share
several tender moments.
Meg told them that she is waiting for Ben who is talking to his lawyers
about Maria. Sara suggests that Ben just ask Maria for a divorce. Meg
says they can't do that until Maria has her memory back. Maria has to
be able to make a true decision on the matter. Casey told Sara to go
to the party and he will wait with Meg. Sara's jealousy shows again. .
Meg says she has decided to help Maria get her memory back. When Sara
ask if that is wise she says what else can she do? Meg wants to know
what is so wrong with what she is doing. Casey went to call Ben. Sara
tells her it is a big mistake and things will get worse. Meg says that
she married Ben 2 days ago and it doesn't count and the only person who
can help them is Maria or they are lost. Sara asks what if Maria gets
her memory back, knows how much she loved Ben, and refuses to sign the
divorce papers. Meg told Casey they don't have to wait with her for
Ben to return. When they get outside Sara told him that she has really
blown it with Meg. Meg thinks about some of the tender moments she
shared with Ben. She declares it is her home; hers and Ben's. Dr.
Estrada arrives and says something is wrong with Maria.
THE JEWELS
Hillary says they have to take something from Cole that means the most
to him. Francesca picks up the phone and hears the chanting. Cole
arrives at her hotel room and finds Fran totally upset. They decide to
steal the jewels tonight. When they are next seen they are in the
office looking for the safe.
THE POWERPLANT
Olivia arrives to meet Annie. Annie told her that she did everything
that she could to follow Olivia's instructions. Annie and Olivia get
into a hate me most conversation. Olivia told Annie that she is going
to announce that she will donate the necklace to the Fine Arts Museum.
Annie says only if she is dead and her body is in formaldehyde.
FINAL SCENES
- Sean is a hit at the ShockWave.
- Amy gets ready to leave and all of a sudden stops and screams.
- Dr. Estrada says that Maria is very distressed. Dr. Estrada says that
she is more than determined to get her memory back which is frustrating
her. She says that unfortunately she only feels comfortable around Meg
and she knows that Ben holds the key to an emotional past that she is
desperate to recover. She says that Ben and Meg are the only people who
can help her. Dr. Estrada says Maria should live with them.
- Cole is about to break the lock when they turn at the sound of
barking, there stands a Doberman.
- Olivia told Annie she has bigger things to worry about like prison
instead of the necklace. Someone is listening to them but it is not
known who. All you can see is expensive black shoes.

Carmen sneaks into her Maria's room at Cedar Oaks and Pleads with Maria to let her use her psychic powers to help the Maria regain the life she thinks she deserves. Intent on shielding Meg from any further pain, Ben puts his foot down and refuses Dr. Estrada's request to have Maria move in with them. Meg thinks its a good idea because she knows that the only way for her and Ben to get married is for Maria to remember her past and sign divorce papers Olivia told Annie that she better cooperate with her plan to have the ruby necklace stolen at Gregory's Halloween party. A haggard Bernie staggers into the party at Shock Wave as his frightened daughter and the other guests look on. Cole and Francesca's scheme to steal the rubies from Gregory's safe hits a snag when they encounter a couple of snarling Dobermans. Dr. Estrada cautions Ben and Meg that Maria could be teetering on the brink of a complete breakdown if she doesn't regain her memory soon. Sean told Emily he's certain Amy is truly terrified of her father. Startled to find Caitlin packing, Cole fears his wife is leaving him and is relieved when she reveals that she's simply moving their little family back into Gregory's place. After the other partygoers depart, Sean and Emily take a private turn around the dance floor. Ben and Meg make love. Annie informs Gregory she's decided to donate the necklace to a museum.

Anxious to leave Surf Central, Antonio presses his contractor to move faster on finishing the renovations at the mission. At Cedar Oaks, Tim urges a fuming Maria not to give up on the husband she loved. After making love to Ben, Meg is troubled by a nightmare about Maria returning to reclaim her man. Gabi attempts to enlist Antonio in her plan to throw a surprise birthday party for his brother. As Jimmy looks forward to dressing up in his pirate costume for Halloween, Virginia gleefully envisions herself as a Christmas bride. Meanwhile, Tyus told Vanessa and Michael he's decided to accept a job offer on the east coast. Though Maria tearfully entreats him to leave her alone, Tim continues to harass her until Ben arrives with Meg and orders him to cease and desist. Tyus privately admits to Vanessa he wouldn't leave Sunset Beach if there was any chance of him having the woman he loves. Virginia ponders how best to determine if her stunt with the turkey baster did the trick . An enraged Ben punches Tim, then threatens to kill him if he doesn't stop bothering Maria. Carmen and Ricardo happily bury the hatchet. Meg overhears Maria confiding to Tim how terribly lonely she feels. Virginia makes a plan to obtain a urine sample from Vanessa so she can run a pregnancy test.
Due to NBC News coverage of the space shuttle launch, Sunset Beach did not air today. Programming will resume on Friday where Wednesday's show ended.

MARIA
Ricardo and Antonio take Maria to stay with their mother. Carmen is overjoyed. Soon after entering the house, Maria notices the self-portrait she had painted and thinks about her recent meeting with Ben at the swing set on the beach. She is upset that her picture has no face and asks them if they know why. Antonio told her that she always said that what was inside was more important, but she sees it as a reflection of her life now - empty, blank, alone - and fears that it could be the way she is forever.
Carmen suggests looking at a scrapbook to trigger her memory. When Ricardo asks, "You remember that, don't you?" Maria angrily closes the book and asks them to stop pressuring her and to give her some time. They apologize. Antonio takes Carmen away and Ricardo gets paged back to work. Maria picks up a photo of her in her wedding gown and decides to put the whole scrapbook away. When she closes the drawer, her wedding gown catches her attention.
Meanwhile, Meg and Ben are walking on the beach. When they approach the swing set, Meg remembers seeing Maria and Ben there. She looks at Ben, told him she knows what he's thinking and runs away. He follows her home and asks her to talk to him. Meg explains that she saw him with Maria at the swing set and heard Maria tell him that she loves him. Ben says that it was only a flash of memory, but Meg wonders what he would do if she said it now. Ben reassures Meg by reiterating that he is happy that Maria is alive, but has never considered going back to Maria because he will never stop loving her (Meg). He reminds her that Maria is a good person and chose to stay with her mother in order to spare their feelings, despite Dr. Estrada's recommendation that she stay with them. Meg is concerned that this plan will backfire and Maria will regress. She believes that the only way to be free of Maria is to help her. Ben suggests that he gather some photos and letters to help jog her memory. Meg thinks this is a great idea and volunteers to take them to her. When she leaves the room, Ben finds the same picture of Maria in her wedding gown.
THE RUBIES
Cole told Francesca that he thinks Gregory is trying to set them up. He is still going to keep his promise and steal the necklace, but not in the way Gregory suspects - he must do it alone. Francesca protests, but Cole insists and leaves. Francesca plans to show up at the Halloween party anyway, dressed as a nun.
Annie is at home, preparing for the Halloween party. She tries on the ruby necklace and is admiring it in the mirror when it turns into a snake. She screams and throws it down, but it is just a necklace again. She thinks she is just stressing out about Olivia's plan to catch Cole when he steals the necklace tonight. Caitlin walks in asks her to stop talking to herself. Annie says she will stop as long as Caitlin promises not to give Cole the combination to Gregory's safe. They argue as Caitlin presses her to stop throwing Cole's past up in her face and Annie reminds her that she wouldn't have Cole or her son if it wasn't for her. Annie heads to Gregory's office.
Cole comes home. Caitlin told him about the fight she had with Annie about Cole's past as Annie was putting the rubies in the new safe. Cole comforts her and she leaves to put the baby down and get ready for the party. As soon as she leaves, Cole finds the safe and opens it, but the necklace is not there. He turns around to find Caitlin behind him. He pretends that he was checking out the safe and that he couldn't open it. Caitlin is wearing the necklace.
An aged and disturbed Bernie went to Gregory's office. He begs Gregory to give him the rubies and warns him that they are dangerous in the wrong hands. Gregory told him not to threaten him and wants to know what is going on. Bernie says the necklace is the threat, not him, and pleads with Gregory to sell him the rubies. Gregory says he will ask Annie. When Annie arrives, Bernie accosts her and demands that she give him the necklace. Annie runs into Gregory's office and slams the door, breaking Bernie's crucifix. He leaves. Once inside, Annie told Gregory about Bernie, but when they go out all they see is the broken crucifix.
Meanwhile, Amy refuses to go home because her dad is acting so weird. Emily offers to let her stay with her and the whole gang (Amy, Brad, Leo, Sean and Emily) heads to Bernie's so that she can get some clothes. They are creeped out by her house - especially the altar and the chanting from the stereo. When Amy and Sean go to get her suitcase, Brad told everyone that bad things happen in three's. They are all about to leave when Bernie returns. They hide and watch him pass by. Amy says he looks dead. Just then, they hear him scream from the other room.
